Francesco Guidi received his PhD from the Università di Roma Tor Vergata and the École Pratique des Hautes Études – PSL Université in 2023 after graduating in Art History at Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna in 2019. He is currently writing a book that develops the contents of his PhD thesis, Sui gusti di Giovanni Poggi, 14931556. His main interests are northern Italian Renaissance art and its relation to Rome, painted representations of architecture, and the history of art criticism from the Renaissance to the twentieth century.
