Mirjam Neusius studied Modern and Contemporary History, Italian Philology, German Studies and Political Science in Berlin and Rome. 2003 M.A. at the Freie Universität Berlin. 2004 to 2006 editor for the project Enzyklopädie der Neuzeit at J.B. Metzler Verlag, Stuttgart, 2006 to 2007 assistant to the programme manager at S. Fischer Verlag, Frankfurt am Main. 2008 to 2011 research assistant at the Institute of History at Friedrich Schiller University, Jena, then freelance editor (ARD, N24) and translator. 2014 Ph.D. at the Friedrich Schiller Universität Jena with the study Herrschaftslegitimation und Kulturtransfer in der habsburgischen Lombardei. Die Zeitschrift "Biblioteca italiana" und die deutsche Kultur, 1815–1830. Since 2015 scientific collaborator in the editorial office of the Bibliotheca Hertziana.
