Internships
The Bibliotheca Hertziana – Max Planck Institute for Art History offers art history students (or students of related disciplines such as history, archeology, library sciences, etc.) the opportunity to complete an internship in the following areas:
- Research department: Cities and Spaces in Premodernity (Department Michalsky)
- Research department: Art of the Modern Age in a Global Context (Department Weddigen)
- Max Planck Research Group: Visualizing Science in Media Revolutions (Sietske Fransen, Ph.D.)
- Lise-Meitner-Group: Decay, Loss, and Conservation in Art History (Francesca Borgo, Ph.D.)
- Publications and Public Relations
- Library
- Photographic Collection
- Digital Humanities Lab
- Institute Administration
Application
The letter of application should explain the applicant's motivation for wishing to complete an internship at an art historical research institution in Rome. It should also clearly state in which of the above-mentioned departments the applicant wishes to do the internship and the reason for this choice. The internship should not be less than two months.
The application should include the following:
- Information on degree program and duration of studies (semester, university)
- Cover letter (intended purpose of internship)
- References or experience certificates (no letters of recommendation)
- C.V.
- Language skills (Italian preferable)
- Certificate copies (without certification)
