The BHMPI offers Fellowships for Art Historians at Risk in Ukraine, Russia, and Belarus.

1 marzo 2022

The BHMPI has created the #ScienceForUkraine Art History Fellowships, a dedicated call for application by researchers in the field of art history who are at risk in Ukraine, Russia, and Belarus, independently from their nationality. Please share this information within your networks.

For the Max Planck Society’s position to the current crisis and its actions, please see the statement of its President, Martin Stratmann.

We support direct action from the International Association of Research Institutes in the History of Art (RIHA) which aims at helping colleagues at risk in Ukraine, Russia, and Belarus, independently from their nationality. The RIHA’s Board invites to share knowledge about colleagues who are in danger and seeking international help, by writing to rihaforukraine@gmail.com

We highly recommend consulting the ScienceforUkraine website which documents an increasing number of support programs for scientists at risk in the region. New offers are constantly published on Twitter, and there are national coordinators.

The Association of German Art Historians (VDK) has compiled a list of German funding programs for scholars at risk that is constantly updated.
